Leslie Lanxinger is inspired by anthropomorphism, literature, and nature. She creates sculpture, costumes, and masks which she translates into paintings and drawings. Through this approach, Lanxinger builds immersive, self-contained worlds that carry deep, emotional resonance. She is based in Los Angeles, with an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. Lanxinger’s work has exhibited at institutions including the Wexner Center, Ohio, the Harn Museum in Florida, the SUNY Potsdam Museum, Aguelimuseet, Sweden, and the ICA Boston.
