Laura Ferretti is a self-taught oil painter of Italian and Spanish heritage, born in Switzerland and based in Southern California. Painting since childhood, she creates stylized figurative portraits defined by elongated forms, muted earth tones, and expressive linework.
Her work explores quiet, introspective moments and the emotional complexity of human experience. When she is not painting, Laura Ferretti creates her own pigments, developing a deeply personal relationship with color and physical materials. Fluent in six languages, she draws on her international background and multicultural perspective to create paintings that feel both intimate and universally human.
