About the artist

Diamante Murru is a multidisciplinary artist from Sardinia, Italy, currently based in Los Angeles. She has been painting since childhood. Her work has been always rooted in natural forms, human transformation and surrealism. At the age of 19, she began exhibiting her work through both solo and collective exhibitions, establishing an early presence within the contemporary art scene. In 2012, her practice expanded into tattooing, leading her to travel extensively across countries over the past decade. This period introduced strong Asian influences into her work and deepened her exploration of ornamental structures. During these years, her painting, particularly large-scale oil works, was placed on pause. Now in Los Angeles, Diamante has re-entered her studio practice, focusing on painting and developing new bodies of work for upcoming exhibitions. Working across canvas and skin, her practice investigates transformation, permanence, and the dialogue between material and meaning through a refined and intentional aesthetic.
