Cecilia Santa is a multidisciplinary visual and performance artist, whose work explores ancestral power to break generational trauma. The artist is known for freehanding her paintings to capture the raw essence of how her cultural environment in rural Mexico shapes her soul. She focuses on highlighting texture through layering, and uses elements from her relatives’ homes to build the magical realist world where her paintings take place.
